Requirements

NUOS requires PHP (minimum 7.4) and MySQL (minimum 5.6) or MariaDB (minimum 10.0). The backend is accessible via common modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.) on desktop and mobile devices (at least a tablet with FHD recommended). At least 500 MB of storage space should be available; for larger or media-heavy websites, 2 GB or more is recommended.

Installation

  1. After download, extract the ZIP file on your computer.
  2. Upload the contents of the extracted nuos-main folder into an empty directory on your web server (a clear name like /domain.tld is recommended). This will become your website's root folder.
  3. Adjust .htaccess and robots.txt to match your server environment and website policy.
  4. Point your domain's document root to the installation folder. Refer to your hosting provider if needed.
  5. Open domain.tld/nuos in your browser and follow the setup instructions. Username: admin, password: admin.

Updates

NUOS will automatically check for new versions on GitHub and notify you on login.
